2009 gas ezgo - intermittent running problems

Hi,

I have a very nice, lifted 2009 ezgo, and have had a pretty bad intermittent problem. The cart can run fine for weeks at a time, then it might stall on me while driving. I tow it home, let it sit for a while (day or so), then it will fire up and run great again.

I've had it back to the shop 3 times. We replaced the coil, fuel pump (3), carb, fuel lines, drained and cleaned the tank, battery and spark plugs.

I just got it back from them again, and they put the 3rd fuel pump on (last was 3 months ago), a new spark plug. Put in a quart of oil, and flushed the gas tank.

most all of that was done 6 months ago, and none of the work scream "smoking gun" to me.

any thoughts as to what could be causing this intermittent issue? does it seem like I should have to have this serviced every 6 months?

I called the shop and they did 1 thing they did not invoice me for. they replaced the carburetor. So this is 2 carbs in 6 months. The proposed cause is the ethenal in the gas, even tho I use my cart every week.

I plan on using sta-bil from now on. hopefull that fixes it for good.

did the replacement carbs fix you problem?? I have 2014 TXT [ gas ] doing the samething it has never had ethenal in it [ only filtered real gas]
