1978 gas ezgo not going in forward
I was having an issue where the fuse would blow when I switched the f/r switch and I would have to pop the fuse and put back in to move. Over the winter I took apart the f/r controller and cleaned all of the wires to the controller, regulator, etc. Now it will go good in reverse, but once I stop and put in in forward, it will not go. After several times of popping out the fuse I can get it to go until I let off the gas. Notice the battery seems to drain a little too? Any ideas?

Look for loose, or shorted wires around the FnR switch, and the fuse holder. The position of the switch should have no affect on the fuse, or solenoid control circuit.

I looked over all of the wires and they look good. I did switch the wire for forward and reverse and it works in both directions now, however you need to put the gear towards reverse to go forward and forward to go reverse. Not sure why this would work and not the other way.
