Thanks to all of you , and Yes Flint that is the hole I was talking about and no mine does not have that tube , or I would have known what it was, does this vent to the air or back to the tank?
Ace , thanks for the heads up on the coil, I have suspected that it may be a weak fire of jumping spark thru the plug wire as the spark on the plug does not seem as blue as it should be, more of a yellow fire.
I didn't not have anything to check against it, thank you for the link and Jonesy , thanks for the parts buying tip,
I appreciate it and will check all these out.

Ron, I don't own a G16 but on the older carts it just vents to air via some tubing. I would think it would be the same for yours.......

I would almost bet the coil is bad , the spark I always thought was weak and yellow, I cant find a tech sheet on it, to check the ohms against. If I had a known good one I could swap out and see if the spark were better. Or check against with a meter.
I have not changed one of these for years on any lawn mower or anything else.

Ace, I got a good deal on a Carb from Flint Rock, it is a great unmessed with carb.
The Cart is being daily driven but it just not correct yet.
I honestly think you have the right answer about the coil.
I just havent found one yet.
The people are very proud of them.
The carb fixed a lot of issues but the fire is yellow and I know it is not stout enough.

It died straight away today , after driving it about 10 blocks, stopped at a stop sign and then nothing, not even a click.
Like a dead battery. But I have not had time to check on it, it has rained all day.
My wife was driving it at the time.
Is it possible that it never started and just ran on the Battery/starter all the way?
You know a woman cant tell you anything about vehicles?
Just wondering.
