OK, so on this setup it goes through the C and yes with that setup the only thing keeping the bolt and pin from wandering would be the small hole in the washer so prone to wear. It would work but for how long in the question. I was looking at the video on the previous page where the pin was between the C however still prone to the same issue. Would get him rolling until he could find another axle or a different setup.

Well I just went and found some pictures on the EZ-Go site. It appears the old style steering axles had the king pin go through the C whereas with the new style they get pinched in the C. What does this mean to bc the op? Welding a washer may give you a short term fix but if you wish to stay with the current configuration, you need another axle.. and btw, they made two different ones in a straight configuration. One was a square tube on the other was taller than it was wide but still straight across.
