Melex golf cart 36v solenoid not clicking dont believe I have voltage I need
I have a melex 36 volt cart with brand new batteries and a brand new solenoid. I get power to solenoid and key switch is functioning properly but when I step on gas pedal I don’t get voltage to the 2 big lugs on solenoid. Solenoid doesn’t click or anything. I have batteries wires correctly and all ends were cleaned. Anyone run into this problem before ? Where should I start ? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don’t think the solenoid is getting activated anyone help with diagnosis?

Check for blown micro switches.

Which drive system is this? Resistor coil or solid state speed control?
The solenoid should have 36v between the 2 small posts when you press the gas. If you got the diode installed backwards when changing the solenoid you may have blown a micro switch. Start doing some switch testing |

I did not have 36 volt between the two small posts when pressing accelerator pedal that was before I even broke the diode. Will this thing move without the diode?

What should I test first? Foot pedal switch or f and r switches is there a reed switch on this cart I can’t find any info on cart I would like to know model
