that is the early model cart. they are fairly the same. most problem area I have encountered is the steering box. they tend to be bad and are impossible(?) to find good/used. you can convert to a rack unit, but it requires a lot of parts.

serial number should be on a tag on the drivers side frame rail as I remember

Do you know if the cart has 3 pedals? 1 gas pedal, 1 brake pedal and 1 parking brake pedal. They are 3 seperate pedals on the "Club Car Caroche".

Yes, manufactured in seventies, through 81 I believe.
They don't make lift kits for these.
They have hydraulic brakes which give big problems when old.
Some have steering problems.
Very few parts available for these.
They are just really old and troublesome.

But, some folks like a good challenge, and they are that.

If you want to upgrade, put on some bling and fancy up, this is probably not the cart you want because there are basicly no accessories.

personally i would love to have a nice old one. basically i would like to take one and either conver it to a gas(my preferance) or just do a complete upgrade to a newer cart running gear. From spending a few hours looking at one while parting it out I "THINK" everything from a newer cart will just bolt on. but it would basically have to be a complete donor cart for front suspension/steering column though. I also think the older frames actually have more aluminum in them. I can think of several ways to get around the hydraulic thing. one is going to a 4 wheel hydro set up!

just my .02

I agree the frame did look stout with alum., also, it had three pedals, however the hill brake and reg. brake were linked together...if that makes any sense. Probably some kind of swing bar? I'm still trying to figure out how to post these #$^$ pics. off my phone.
