charging
I have a 2000 TXT battery operated cart and need to charge the batterys.my question is this does it matter if the TOW/RUN switch is on TOW or on RUN.does the key have to be off and does the F/R switch need to be in the Forward position or the Reverse position

ok thanks.i put my meter on the charging plug and it showed charging volts at 43.2 volts then checked the batterys and said the same.but these batterys are new but have not been charged in 5 months so how long do I charge them

I answered your question and later thought about my answer and decided it may not be applicable to your situation so I deleted it. But on this forum you can't delete a message only edit. Charge it 'till the charger shuts off, unplug, replug 'till charger shuts off, repeat about 5 times. Dont forget to keep an eye on the water levels (just enough to cover the plates by about 1/4" will do just as good a job as any other level above the plates, with minimal acid mess).

one thing i would add to the great advice that cgtech gave
is after the first charge let sit for a few hours then check each battery to make sure they all are taking a full charge |
