G11 engine repair manual
Hi, new member
Just bought a Yamaha golf cart to run around in the neighborhood. Its a G9 but appears to have a G11 four stroke JN6 motor transplanted into it from the numbers. Runs but needs some adjustments and air cleaner elements. Has strong gas smell after running like it's still flowing so I'm going to have to go into it. Was planning a complete fluid change anyway. Looking for a repair manual for the engine, any leads on where I can find one? Also need an air cleaner number. Air box just has a thin foam sheet in the big box. Thanks for any help Lou |

JN6 is a G16 engine. A J11 is a longer utility version of the G16.

Hum....
Thanks for the help. The engine has a JR3 number, its in a cart with the JG5 number. I was told it came out of a cart with the JN6 number if that helps. I am not after the cart manual, I downloaded that but I do want the engine repair manual since the G9 originally had a different engine. |

That's a nice looking G9, and I've never seen a G16 engine in one. There are no free downloads for service manuals that I know of. There are CD versions on ebay, or the hard copy here.

Ok thanks.
Is there anyway to tell from the engine serial number what year motor it is? All I have seen is years based on cart number but I can't be sure it came out of the G16. Are all 301cc the same around that time? |

Yep, all the 301 engines are the same, model years '96-'02. G16 and G11. I'm not sure why some are JR3 and some are JN6. The JN6-xxxxxx cart serial number is from an '02 G16.

Also, unrelated to the topic but are wheels interchangeable between the makes (common) or do Yamaha, Ezgo, Clubcar have different bolt patterns?
