When I installed the High speed gear, I switched at the same time to the GBoost Severe duty; a really good belt!
My buddy was going through a stock belt on his Can am commander every time he went to the dunes. I hooked him up with a Gboost belt, and he hasn't done a belt since.

I've read about a machined inner sheave. Should my stock sheave be ok?

Put a straightedge on yours , the closer to flat it is , the better. Big dish is bad. I'm talking about the surface the belt rides on. Also check for reasonable bushing tightness and good seals.
