Thumbs down 86 act likes it not getting enough gas

My 86 cart acts like it isnt getting enough gas, however it very really does this and i pull the choke half way for about 30 seconds and the problem goes away any ideas?

If pulling the choke helps look into a shortage of fuel or an air leak first.
Also it may need new crank seals.

Check the spark plug. The spark plug in my cart was too short and I had to run with the choke out.

When I got the correct spark plug it fixed the problem for me.

Also make sure the airbox is sealed.

if the spark plug doesn't do it, pull the carb and clean it. I would guess the pilot jet is plugged on it.

i have every plan on rebiulding it this year was just hoping for something stupid to be wrong with it

Very good chance its crank seals...and they are pretty easy to replace

i don't think thats the problem i did that two years ago when i got the cart i am just going to rebuild the carb and see where that gets me

just make sure you take the pilot mixture screw out and clean that passage along with cleaning the jets.. About 95% of the business my shop does is carb work and about 90% of those jobs are what you're explaining.
