Default 1985 EZGO 244 CC 2 Cycle fuel mixture?

So the guy I bought this from told me to mix my fuel to 40:1 but I read in another thread this is for break in only. Is this true? What mixture should I be mixing my gas at? He said that he has had the muffler plug up before. Thanks Dave

For teh first 3-4 hours on a fresh engine or rebuild, 40:1 is fine - after that though you should run (per EZGO) 128:1 or 1oz to 1 gallon.

Also - it may sound silly, but you should never mix the gas and oil by dumping the pil into the tank - make sure to premix it thoroughly in a can prior to dumping it in the cart!
