May also have a plugged vent in the fuel tank.. Cart will run fine till it gets enough vacuum in the tank to starve the fuel pump.. Try loosening the fuel cap next time it happens and see if you hear that whoosh noise..

Fuel cap sounds like a big possibility.

Another would be the solenoid.
Hook up a test light to the output switched side and lay it where you can see it.
Ride it around and see if the lite flickers or goes out when it dies.

Next would be the ignitor.
Hot to the touch says its bad.
Do the hei mod and use your new coil you already have.
If you want a hotter spark replace the coil with an hei nova coil.

The pulsor coil will change ohms based on heat. that is normal.

Ok, so yesterday I filled the tank and put the cap on very loose. Went for a ride and things were great! Cart ran great and we went for about 45 minutes, Engine got very warm. I just told my girlfriend I could not believe it was only the gas cap.

Then it died in the same way it has been.........back to the drawing board. I almost bought that Pulser Coil, but now I am not sure that is the problem either.

Ok, all my issues started when my coil failed.

I got a new coil, it w bad out of the box, got a second new coil.
Removed carb and cleaned it, was not very dirty.
Replaced fuel lines with clear lines to see fuel flow.
Put new spark plugs of the proper specs and gap in.
Tested new coil to make sure it was in range, tested good.
Tested Pulser coil to make sure it was in range. In range when cool, slightly out of range when hot.
Rode around with loose gas cap.

Maybe the clear fuel line has started collapsing due to the gas cap not venting?

Actually the clear line has become more solid since having the gas running through it. I dont think that is happening. I had thought the same at first and when it happens I would hop off and check it. The always seems ok and has a good amount of fuel in it.

Adjust valves = It simple/ easy/ and critical. Out of adjustment valves can cause excessive heat which screws with electronics. Also it sounds like the tank venting helped some but may not be your only problem. Replace the engine crankcase to fuel pump vacuum tube and put fresh fuel lines on it if you haven't already ... I would adjust valves and check oil level before one more ride.

Specs .004 cold in and out if I remember right
