Default Re: 2002 EZGO TXT dies after 20 minutes.

Hook up a timing light to the plug and place it where you can see it.
This will show fire while its running and when it dies.
Showing if it is in the ignition circuit, ie coil, ignitor, ignition wiring, pulsor, Or if it still has fire as it is dying then its a fuel issue.

If you loose spark you can narrow it down on an electrical issue.
Use the test light. Start at the coil. 12v hot to ground watch the light when it dies.
If its going out go back to the solenoid.
If it is dimming down then a short somewhere or a bad coil or bad ignitor.

If its not going out then the burning hot ignitor would point to either the coil or a bad ignitor.
BUT since you keep swapping parts i would closely check your wiring for bad spots connections ect.
Especially since you keep having intermittent working new bits.
Sounds like a short.

Default Re: 2002 EZGO TXT dies after 20 minutes. SOLVED

Finally got this solved. After trying just about all the tricks that I learned here I gave up and sent it to a cart repair guy. He came back with the coil is bad. That was the 3rd coil I put in it so I was a bit reluctant, but I ordered another coil and out it in. #4 did the trick, went out for a 2 hour ride yesterday.
