Reverse Lights
Hello BGW, I just bought a rebuilt/refurbished 2000 lifted gas EZGO. I was thinking I wanted to add a reverse light. Can I tap into the reverse buzzer to power a light?

Looks like it's a gasser, so I don't think there's a worry about 48 to 12 because is all 12 right?
I wired mine up directly and replaced the buzzer all together. Crash did you ever wire yours up? Got mine on. But probably going to relocate so rear passengers don't destroy. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1450360431.524968.jpg |

Re: Reverse Lights
Thanks Bubba. It is a gasser, so I don't have to worry about voltage since everything is 12v. I think I will bypass the buzzer and go directly to the reverse lights.

Re: Reverse Lights
It will be 12 volts but use a relay to power them. That micro switch would not like a set of halogen bulbs..

Re: Reverse Lights
Haologens I could see being an issue, but with LED I would think you'd be safe with the switch.

Re: Reverse Lights
Finally got my hands on the cart and the reverse micro switch is not even wired to the buzzer. That switch only powers the buzzer, right? Anyway, does it matter which prong on the microswitch goes to the battery or buzzer? Also, does it matter on the buzzer, which wire goes from micro switch and back to battery?
