Default Bypass governor

With the cable from throttle to the governor sticking, can you bypass the gov.
and go from gas pedal to throttle on carb and leave gov in full open position,
letting throttle control speed.

The cart is a 96 EZGO and i'm still trying to find someone who knows if I can
run the cable from the gas pedal directly to the throttle on carb. by passing
the governor. Also, if I do this do I need to do anything special with the governor hookup?

Possibly but adjusting the governor can get you to the point of the motor going south so why would you? Hold the cable and tighten the cable to as fast as you want to go.

ok thanks, i'll try one more time working with governor. Will have to get another new cable from throttle to gov
Only reason I was going to bypass is that I keep having problems with the cables and throttle response. I put a stiffer spring at throttle keep from jerking
when accelerating. It worked fine, then short cable locked up. It was fairly new, so I'm getting tired of messing with it

Is it jerking when you first take off ? If so the cable may be too tight and pulling the throttle plate off of idle before the engine starts or the idle may be set too high..
