1991 EZGO with 295cc Robins running rough. Please help
I just bought this cart 2 weeks ago and he said that it was losing some power on the hills and top speed. As soon As I brought it home I replaced the plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, fuel lines, fuel pump, belts, carb., and adjusted the valves. I found 2 valves overtightened, 1 a little loose, and 1 right on. Its better but starts very hard causing me to choke every time you stop and try to go again. It also isn't as quick as it should be and seems to have a miss to it. The governor has been removed. I've played around with the air/fuel adjustment screw with minimal results on the miss. Any suggestions?

I would suggest for starters if your having to choke it every time to start it to clean the carb thoroughly... Disassemble the fuel pump clean it and make sure you don't have any cracks or wear on the pulse line or the feed line from the tank and to the carb... Also check the pulse line from the crankcase to the pump for any oil or water...

The carb, pump, and feed lines are all new. I'll replace the pulse line next. Where does the small vacuum line from the side of the carb connect to? It was disconnected when I bought the cart and I dont See where it goes? Thanks for the help!

crank case vent tube, connects to the passenger side low front of the motor.

It's running a bit better but is lacking some power still starts hard. Have to barely touch the gas or choke it every time that you stop.

If it is coming out of the passenger side of the carb it is an overflow or vent tube.
If the float gets stuck fuel will run out the tube. |

Thanks! I found that one side of my coil is dead. Hopefully a new coil will fix the hard starting problem too.
