Strange readings can indicate a bad ground, many carts wire the grounds. So check the ground at the gen and at the solenoid. Most work with power to key, then to pedal switch, then to the solenoid and any ignition power it needs. So if you see power at the solenoid to activate it then the key and pedal are working.
Also check your battery cables and any ground cables, its common for them to have issues with age and it could be as simple as post on battery or cable clamp is dirty, or connection to gen post, etc, same for solenoids. |
