If you are getting 18mph on stock tyres etc, i think you are doing OK. You will not get any further with the governor mod, as at this stage you are being governed by the rev limiter i should think. Now to look at all the other mods you have been advised about.

Installed a new, shorter belt yesterday and appear to have gain another 12-mph. I imagine this is because the old belt was worn out and loose. Obviously much better low end pep due to shorter belt size
