Default New 12" Wheels on G9

Got my new 12 inch wheels and 215/35 tires delivered last night. Got them mounted and they look and fit great. Cart is '95 Yamaha g9 stock height.

Hey Newguy. I'm trying to redo the suspension but want to retain the stock height and maybe add a set of HD's to the rear. I've found stock replacement shocks/springs but, most aftermarket sets seem to be for lifted carts. I've also read about using the Monroe shocks. What would be recommended for my application? Just replace with stocks, aftermarket, or Monroes? Cart only sees concrete.

Your shocks have the springs built into the assembly. Monroe isn't likely to make one for that application. That option is usually for the shocks that have springs separate from the shock body.

HD shocks for the rear might be a good idea if you are hauling rear passengers.

Jake's sells a HD spring for the rear that replaces the spring on your stock rear shock, they recommend with a rear seat. For the front I would stay with stock OEM coil over shocks.

Ok well I was hoping there was maybe a cheaper option for the rear. Guess I’ll be ordering the Jakes HD set. While I have the springs and shocks out is there anything else I should check or replace?

Will these work on a g9 and keep it relatively stock height?
