Default g22 gas cart

i am helping a friend work on his 2003 yamaha g22 gas cart....when you mash the peddle it just clicks.....so we replaced the solenoid and it started fine...but when you stop and try again it just clicks....raise the seat and spin the starter belt and then push the throttle it will start and run fine for awhile...thenn does the same thing again ...raise the seat and spin the belt will start and run fine again for awhile..then the same thing over and over.....what do i need to look at now.....thanks in advance

Need to be looking at the starter brushes, but you really need to have some idea what they should look like so you can tell if they are bad or not. Do a internet search for replacing golf cart starter generator brushes and you should find some pictures and videos that show you what you are looking for.

i took the starter off and he took it to a rebuild shop...will let you know what this guy finds
