Default Swaying

2017 Yamaha Drive 2. Can too much air or too little air in tires cause swaying? All I done was add 12” wheels and slightly bigger tires but get quite a bit of swaying now. I did also add rear seat.

Yes tire air pressure can certainly make a difference in the handling, but the rear seat probably has at least as much to do with it. Those carts are tail heavy as originally built. The front seat sits further back on the chassis, which gives it the greater front seat leg room than the other carts have. The trade off is that the weight of the seat & passengers is further back. That forces the rear seat that you added to be even more rear biased. Throw a couple people on the back seat and you'll be lifting the front inside tire in even mild turns. There are heavy duty springs (coil over shocks) available for the rear that can help the sway some, but it won't change the fact that it's still light in the front / heavy in the rear.

Would adding more back tire pressure than the front help any?

Most I have come across the sway is more in the suspension than the tires, but air pressure is cheap - try that first & see if it makes enough of a difference to make you more comfortable with it.

As well, if you added larger tires then there is a good chance the alignment will need readjusted.

Ok. Should I have a little toe out or toe in for more stable ride?

If you set your toe-in at about 1/8" as Meimk suggest, you'll probably find your cart much more stable.

This may help you: https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...+front+end+set
