Default '84 G1 Carb and Clutch Removal

Does anyone have any suggestions on removing the primary clutch bolt? Tried a 3/4" drive pneumatic impact wrench and it wouldn't even budge. That's the most powerful tool I own and don't know what to consider for other options. To clarify, this is the actual bolt holding the clutch (and yes I bent back the tab on the lock), I have the clutch puller tool. The only thing I can think of is a strap wrench around the primary and a big bar on the bolt.

Also, do the plastic turnbuckle ends on the governor linkage just snap over the ball on the carburetor throttle butterfly? I need to take my carb off but I don't want to break the linkage.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Geeze if a 3/4" impact won't get it loose, it must really be on there. The clutch housing is aluminum and the bolt is steel, so you likely have some good old "galvanic corrosion" going on. Try using some heat on the bolt.

Update:

The strap wrench did the trick. Wrapped it around the primary and put the wrench handle against the floorboard, then I put a 3ft pipe on the breaker bar and sure enough, it popped off. Also used the strap wrench to get the primary off the engine and to get the secondary off.

Also got the carb linkage apart so now it's a matter of changing seals, hoses, and gaskets, and putting it back together.

Replacing those seals will make a huge improvement to low down speeds especially...After replacing mine I could not believe the difference.
