G22 Gov Bypass won't work with stock cable
Hey gang,
I performed the gov bypass by going straight from the throttle to the carb on my '04 Pro Hauler 1000. I could never get the throttle properly adjusted and I figured out why. The stock cable has a bigger bracket on the end designed to connect to the governor, and this hangs on the throttle linkage and prevents the carb cam from closing. The bracket that originally went to the carb has a much smaller and smoother bracket as seen in the 2nd pic. Does anyone know if a universal or workaround throttle cable that will work? Thanks in advance! |

Put it back the way it was and drill out the governor arm. It keeps everything the it's supposed to be. Works way better.
