Custom bumper/ front rack
Who has made their own front bumper/ rack? I am wanting some ideas. I will be picking up a EZGO this weekend and want to build something for it. Pictures would be nice.
Thanks |

Re: Custom bumper/ front rack
There is another way and a lot cheeper but you give up a little in durability. If you're not knocking down 3" trees with your front bumper it should work fine.

Re: Custom bumper/ front rack
I know people are going to think I am nuts BUT this is from 1st hand experience...
For the last 10 years I have been using 3/4 conduit for all sorts of things. Deer hunting tree stands and ladder systems that go up 50 feet, ramps for my trailer to load and unload electric golf carts and ATVs. This stuff is unbeleiveable. A bender at the hardware store may run 50 bucks including the length of pipe needed for the handel. I have also used 1/2 conduit in some applications for my tree stand ladders. I am not talking about the extra thick stuff either. And if you wad it up, not near as expensive as one of them high priced ones. And if you want to make a change, not near as expensive to redesign and rebuild. 3/4 has an outside measurement of 1". 1/2 inch slides inside very easy for a multiude of uses and added strength. If you have ever bend pipe this stuff will be a cake walk. Good luck. Rodger |

Re: Custom bumper/ front rack
I wouldn't want my fat butt sitting 50' off the ground with conduit(thin wall) holding me up. It would fall apart from all the shaking(scared) while climbing.

Re: Custom bumper/ front rack
For a golfcart bumper I would see why not.

I told you they would think I was nuts. So I will continue with what I do and keep my secrets to myself.
