Default Winterizing G29 cart

Newbie here- golf cart season over next weekend and I was unsuccessful finding existing posts here on battery prep for off season. Cart will be stored outside in S. Jersey for up to 5 months. So far, all I’ve read is to inspect terminals & cables to make sure they are clean, top off H2O, remove key, charge in TOW position and hopefully that will prevent the Trojans from freezing. Anything else I should do? Also wondering - will have access to the campground - which opens again March 1st - over the winter. Should I visit before March opening and do another charge? Thank you in advance.

You should definitely charge it at least once a month! The batteries will self discharge and freeze if you don't keep them well charged. Most chargers do not recycle and charge unless you unplug and replug them so leaving it on a charger won't do. If you have access to power, you could buy a trickle charger for 48V to keep the batteries topped off. This will pay for itself in battery longivity. The one I recommend is "Battery Tender".
