Default Ezgo western 42 volt

I am helping a neighbor with a Ezgo golf cart. Not sure of the year? The id plate reads H402. is this a 2002 it has a on of with the forward reverse by your knees. This is a lever not a rocker switch. He says he changed the batteries and now nothing. Is there a good diagram for the solenoid wiring? Also I see a little black diode with a silver ring. Which way should the face? I forgot to mention that he changed the solenoid. Thanks

From the solenoid 1 large black to B t on the controller
One large black from solenoid to the f/r mechanism
One small red wire the number 1 connector on the controller
1 small red wire from solenoid to the molex connector
There is a red wire connected to a small terminal on the solenoid. It is not connected to anything at the other end. May have been a black wire at the other end. Any ideas

There is a medium size black wire coming off one of the small posts of the solenoid. One end is missing. Any idea where this might go? The cart makes no noise when pedal is pressed

Not sure why next to my post it reads lithium. I have by passed the reed switch. I have taken the reed switch out and replaced with connectors. I get no noises from the cart in reverse or forward. The only thing that works are the head lights. I did speak to the neighbor regarding a wire that he replaced on the solenoid. It was black about 18 to 20 inches long. He installed a red wire to a small post on the solenoid that also has two small black wires. He isn’t sure where the broken wire ran to from the solenoid? Any ideas
