6 passanger trouble shooting. Controller problems/gas/or brake problems.
Hey guys, just bought a 2006 6 passanger ez-go from a Marina. Thats right a marina. A rust bucket nightmare.
Anyways, when I bought it, a golf cart tech told me replace the solenoid, and it should drive fine. I replaced the solenoid, and had an electrician check it out, it turns out it might might be the controller/brain. That giant box all the wires go into. I cant seem to find the controller/brain on the internet. We checked all the switches, and keys. All the inputs look good. At first we got a code, blinking light saying "Check pedal box and ignition switch" couldnt figure it out, we checked, did some volt meter testing, followed wire, NOTHING. We thought it might ave been the pedal or break activating some kind of safety, not allowing it to take off, but couldnt find any hard evidence. We are getting no codes at all anymore (not good). Battery are good, inoput are good, and motor seems fine. Any ideas on how to test this brain/controller out? it looks expensive...what about any advice on trouble shooitng? its a tuff question, thanks for any help you can provide. |
