Default 2 carts, 1 has problem, 1 has another problem. combine for one cart?

hey guys i need some advice. ill keep it short and easy even though i can drag it out longg...... haha.

i have a 1996 diamond plate golf cart workhorse, which is all good except the motor.

i can purchase a rebuilt motor from a 2001 workhorse plastic body which is in OK shape, not great, but ok. the guy is telling me the 2001 has a clutch problem because it wont pull up hills well. im not buying it but i dont know. i cant test run the 2001 because its missing the ignition switch and a battery and has no gas.
the motor has some number on it. en292ce10027042 and larger numbers of 1053762.
does anyone know the break down on those numbers?

im having a tough time deciding to rebuild mine, or purchase this other cart and just take the motor for $600.

is the body worth anything to anyone at all? off the plastic cart worth anything to anyone? i wouldnt know what to do with it after swapping the motor out.

is $600 even too much to begin with for a rebuilt motor and some extra parts? like the transmission and such.

i have to decide soon!. i appreciate any advice or tips you have for me

Yeah I trust him. He is the mechanic at our golf course.

Are parts off that type of cart really of any demand on here?
