Not sure which wheel spacers to go with
I have a 2002 series club car 48 volt with 14 inch wheels and 23 inch tires. Just installed a jakes long travel lift kit and the ausco rear disc brake kit and want to install wheel spacers for the rear. On eBay I see about 4 different kinds of 2 inch spacers ( I want to go with 2 inch ) ranging from 50-150 dollars. Anyone have any experience with these? I really don't know the difference between them besides price. I have been told the spacers wear your bearings out, so I'd like to go with a pair that's maybe the easiest on the bearings if that's possible? There a certain set I need with that brake kit? Help?

I got mine here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-EZ-GO-CLUB...bf32d4&vxp=mtr
Great product, no problems. Better than the stud extenders. |

Re: Not sure which wheel spacers to go with
Wheel spacers will wear bearings out faster. It has nothing to do about design or shape of the spacer. It's all about leverage. A 2" spacer will wear bears faster than none and a 4" spacer is harder on a bearing than a 2" spacer.

Re: Not sure which wheel spacers to go with
I put 2" on front and rear. I have the auscos also and no worries, the spacer diameter is slightly less than the rotor mounting surface. I bought the spacers because my 10" wheels wouldn't fit after ausco install. Bought all four for 89 free ship at sixity. Summit essentially the same price.

Re: Not sure which wheel spacers to go with
Looks like I'll just go with the 50 dollar ones. I appreciate all the feedback, extremely helpful. Especially about fitting with the ausco brakes. How do you like yours? I was going to get the jakes front disc brakes but they're pricey and I was told they're crap, they said it's almost impossible to get them dialed in with the rear brakes. And all I hear are good things about the auscos

It took a bit to get them adjusted. You think you do too much and test and more to go. But stopping is great and no squeaking yet. My drums were new and took a while to stop, not now!

Re: Not sure which wheel spacers to go with
At the risk of high-jacking, what model 10" wheels wouldn't work with Auscos Epb. I'm looking at doing the same thing without a lift.

Re: Not sure which wheel spacers to go with
They are 10x7 storm trooper machined black wheels. Im the lucky one that hit the caveat of fits "most"...

Re: Not sure which wheel spacers to go with
Thanks for the info. Ausco had a list of 4 or 5 wheels that wouldn't work but the list was from 4 years ago. The Storm Troopers weren't on it.
