Drive clutch
I lifted my 2005 CC DS. Had issues with it starting after I lifted it but I got it going now. Most of the time you press on the gas and the motor runs but the drive clutch doesn't always engage. After 10-15 seconds or so it will engage and go. Is there an adjustment I need to make since I lifted the cart or what could be causing this?

Re: Drive clutch
The clutch doesn't engage until the engine cranks up and the RPMs begin to increase. Are you sure the engine is revving?

Re: Drive clutch
Sounds like maybe it isn't revving until it engages.

Re: Drive clutch
You've got it backwards. It doesn't engage until it revs. Your problem sounds like the engine doesn't run. Can you video it and post it so I can see what's happening?

Re: Drive clutch
That's the driven clutch you're looking at. It's beginning to engage after the engine cranks but you're releasing the pedal and killing it. Keep your foot in it and try it again. I'm not seeing a problem yet.

Before when I pressed the pedal it fired right up and took off. Now sometimes I hold down the pedal and it just sits and cranks. I let off and try again. Sometimes it takes right off.

Re: Drive clutch
That's not a clutch problem. if it's slow to start it may have a carburetor or other fuel related issue.
