Default 98 CC DS No Click No Go

Hello!

serial A9837
Lester 19975 on board computer
48 v
F/R rocker switch
brand new batteries, measure 49.5 at right rear solenoid across the two large terminals

Cart sat inside for 4 years, old batteries removed

Installed new batteries
when i move run/tow switch to run I could hear solenoid click on
step on go, hear another click

no move, smell smoke

Orange wire to motor from right side of the controller broke off
Fix that wire, i still get a click when switch to run
step on go in reverse, moved a foot or two
put seat on to test drive, now there are no clicks
key on, run on, step on go, no power across little terminals on either the left or right solenoid.
(left solenoid behind driver has big coil of wire across two large terminals).

No sure what to try next

Thanks

testing the F/R switch:

not under power:
Looks like pin 2 is common
Forward should connect pin 1 and 2
Reverse should connect pin 2 and 3??

Since I get the buzzer when in reverse and step on the go, I can assume the reverse side works,

Take the left solenoid out of the circuit by connecting both large wires to the same side. It's main purpose is dynamic braking.

Check all the wire connections, if cart has sat that long most likely you have several corroded ends. Does the micro switch click in the v glide?

The controller could have been damaged when the wire smoked.

Let us know what you find.

The wiring diagram is on this site in the stickys in the parts manuals.

Ok

1) Thanks for the help
2) Sorry I did not reply earlier, had to coach my daughters softball team to a resounding 5-18 loss, eliminating us from the playoffs,

Both white wires are attached together
Batteries charged last night: 51.8 volts
No solenoid clicks upon powerup
I hear 1 faint click from the pot when i step on the go
pulled and twisted every wire, they look good
I replaced all battery cable when I replaced the batteries on Sunday
Reverse buzzer does sound with Run/key on/reverse/step on pedal
