Personally, my series DS with a D&D 10HP & 550AMP controller climbs anything I can throw at it. Just yesterday I climbed a rooted & rutted out hill that my Jeep used to struggle up!
On the street... 16-17 maybe uphill? I have a lot of low end torque. |

Well, my stock electric DS climbed hills--never let me down--although I chanted "I think I can" everytime I climbed the hill from our "valley" course to the "hill" course (dropped down to about 3 mph on that hill). My Navitas 440 AC DS climbs a hill as fast as I dare go. Oh, I replaced the lead acid batteries with Li, so that prolly helps, too. The same hill I now take at about 18 mph with no noticeable slowing.
