Default 1984 ezgo marathon 2 cycle spark plug wire Question

Hey all. I need some help. My cart is on the fritz. It's definitely the plug wire. How does it mount or connect to the coil pack? There isn't any connector on that end. I looked up a new wire online and it shows the same thing.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

There is a barb on the coil that it screws down on to.

I don't think I see either a screw or barb. LOL. Should I take the coil off? I can get some photos tomorrow night. To dark now and work all day tomorrow

Just grab the wire and twist it counterclockwise at the spot that it joins the coil and it should begin to "unscrew"

I already have the wire off. Thats the problem. Either it broke or I broke it. Can I just screw it back on? *** I wish I had the wire with me today to show you what I am working with.

I looks like the wire broke off. A few strands on the end of it sticking out. As for the coil itself, it appears like some type of post in the hole when you look into it. I'm trying to do what I can to have it running this weekend. Since we use it at our camp.

I'm not familiar with the setups on golf carts. I'm still a rookie. The *** thing ran fine up until Sunday pretty much.

That's normal- just remove the part that is stuck in the coil. Cut a quarter inch off the wire and screw it back into the coil clockwise.
