Club car too fast....
Just got a nice lifted 1990 gas club car and it does not go under 5mph with out stalling/starting (too low RPM).
The park I'm in has a 5mph speed limit and it doesn't like to operate that slow, the previous owner doesn't know what mods it had or if the gears were changed. What I do know is I just changed the drive and transmission fluids and the lower driver side box (I think tranny) had new fluid in it and the passenger side (I think drive box) had what I would only call death fluid in it, clumpy black, looked terrible, which made me think new gears in the other box maybe. My simple question is: If I put a slightly longer drive belt on it would the cart goes slower at higher rpm, or is there an easy way to achieve this? Thanks for the help! Russ, New member |

Re: Club car too fast....
I had a similar problem with my 98 CC, adjusted the gas peddle linkage in control box where micro switches are and now able to crawl very very slow. the throttle cable to the carb was set to tight.
