Default PDS motor in a DCS cart?

Been working on a 1996 Ezgo TXT DCS for a while,

The motor field circuit seems to be blowing in the controller. I have a couple carts and want to know if I can put my PDS carts motor into the DCS cart to test it? Can I leave the motor speed sensor disconnected?

I dont want to blow another controller. I especially do not want to ruin my PDS motor.

thanks

YES you can....I just bought a new motor, and its made for PDS, DCS, AND TXT48's scottyb told me they all work. so just leave the speed sensor disconnected.

Well, stock PDS & DCS motors use different field mapping, so I wouldn't consider it a good drivable solution, but would be ok for testing.
