Default 48 volt ezgo

I have a 48 volt club car charger, new, and no charger for my ezgo 48 volt cart, I bought a new end plug to fit ezgo notched triangle, in the wiring diagram for end it only shows positive and ground to the 2 longer pins, and no wires to the short pin, but it has to be there. the charger i am using has three wires, do i just blank third wire off or wire it to the shorter wire??

You gotta get clarification from the experts, but I don’t think they’re interchangeable. Can’t remember for sure, but think that other wire may be a temperature sensor.

agree.....if its a stock 48 volt cart.....johnnie will help you out....I THINK I know the answer.... but not 100% sure. so I don't want to stear you the wrong direction.

but look at your cart.....you should have 3 wires going to your charge port. a LARGE White wire, which goes to the POSITIVE of the first battery of your pack. a LARGE Black wire that goes to the NEGITIVE of the last battery of your pack. the last one is a SMALL Red wire which goes from the charge port to the RUN/TOW switch....that small red wire can be connected to the POSITIVE (white) wire it was/is the reed switch in the original ezgo charge port....

Is the Club Car charger an E.R.I.C. charger? (2014 and up)

If it is a Powerdrive charger then probably not compatible as these were just dumb power units that required the OBC (on board computer) in the cart to control them.
