Default Radio battery

I have a 2016 club car. I am adding a sound bar to it. However, I do not want to power it from the GC batteries. I want a separate battery. What should I get that will last a decent amount of time? We cruise around the neighborhood but it will mostly be used when we are at campgrounds
Thanks

Default Re: Radio battery

I use a AGM battery like you find in wheel or power chairs to power lights and a 50watt marine amp with two speakers. Relatively small and light (25lbs) compared to a deep cycle marine battery. I can run the sound for hours. Don't know exactly how long as I've never wanted to go past about 6hrs. Depending on the power draw of the sound bar this might not be enough capacity.
These are easy to mount in a EZGO but can be a problem in Club Cars, DS or Precedent. I think Precedent people put them behind the dash under the front cap.
If use ask this same question in the Club Car section you will get lots of responses and ideas.
