Default Battery Charger Upgrade/Conversion

Good day to all,

I have a 2013 RXV that I just converted to a 6x8V battery system. I am using FullRiver DC-180-8 AGM batteries. I have a Delta Q QuiQ charger. I live in Phoenix so it gets very hot.

Currently I am using the Delta Q 125 algorithm. That algorithm is a temperature compensated algorithm if the charger you are using has a temperature sensor.

So my question to the group. I would like to stay offboard if possible and utilize the EZGO charger port if possible as my charger is mounted to the wall in my garage. So on the EZGO port you have three connector pins. Positive, negative and than the 3rd which I believe to be the temperature sensor and interlock. My old charger is an EZGO factory charger made by Delta Q but made to charge 4 12V flooded batteries.

Currently I can get a cheater plug which simply takes the positive and negative from the charger and bypasses the third pin. The charger will work fine but I lose the ability to take advantage of the temperature compensated algorithm.

Is there a way to wire in the new charger to take advantage of the built in plug but also use the temperature sensor? It appears the the factory receptacle has the temperature sensor and interlock combined and attached to the positive terminal on the battery pack. The QuiQ charger does have a green interlock wire which I am inclined not to use but also has the temperature sensor and negative wire combined.

Could I simply separate the temperature sensor wire from the negative and wire it directly to the 3rd pin and use the existing 3rd wires going to the positive terminal and the controller? Or do I seperate the two wires coming out of the back of the 3rd pin (on the backside of the plug) and put a resistor on the blue wire to fake the controller into thinking a charger is attached and run the temperature sensor over to the negative terminal?

Not sure....any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks to all
