Golf cart batteries
Hello all. I have a ezgo txt 36 volt cart. I have Crown batteries. They were put in last February 2019 brand new. The cart has been running fine until a few days ago. I rode 18 holes no problem. I continued playing and on the 23rd my cart died. The cart sat for a few minutes and I had power again. Would drive 100 yards and it would die again. When it stopped I could hear hmmming/viberating when I pressed the accelerator. The golf course has been extremely wet. I don’t know if my charger is bad or what. I also checked batteries with voltmeter. All read 6.1. Any ideas?!?

Re: Golf cart batteries
A pretty vague starting point. If you plan on fixing this yourself, you will need some patience, a voltmeter, and the willingness to go try that failed trip again (to collect data). You have a voltmeter & the willingness? (And know anything about a voltmeter?). Data will have to be collected at the point of failure, and while under load/usage, not at rest readings.
23 holes, huh? More than that's your normal for one day? Do you drive to the course, or, does the cart live there? Not talking down, just needing to know the expectations. |
