Default Wheel spacers 85 ds

I caught a deal on a pair of 22x11-8 tires at my local farm store (think 80s honda 3 wheeler). I've been running with them with pretty low tire pressure good, mostly for the traction, and that has worked out well, but I noticed the were rubbing on the inner fender well on the back once I got some weight on the cart.

My solution at the moment was thick washers on each stud before I mounted the tire. That worked, but it wasn't a perfect solution. Roughly my eyeball I think I probably only need somewhere between 3/16 - 5/16, but probably not as much as 3/8.

So my question is twofold number one on a car that would be a negligible spacer and not require new studs or lug nuts, do the same rules apply to golf carts or would I need to get new studs Etc. The other half of this question is if I do need longer studs for that thin of a spacer, where might I obtain them and actually what are the specs of the stupid things?

For the regular steel wheels you should be able to run a 1/4" spacer without needing longer studs. Any longer than that and you'll be pushing it.
These are a 1/2" -20 thread. You can knock out one of the studs and measure the length and the knurl diameter and order new studs from Summit racing or Jegs by size and length.
Or take it to an auto parts store like Napa and see if they can match one up that's longer.

I run 22.5x11.x8 tires on my '87 DS and they're fine. But I also use 2+5 offset wheels that push the tires out away from the inner fender.

Here's the wheel I'm running on mine:

And here's the cart:

If you want to use your wheels you can also just get a 1" spacer and call it a day.
