Is this what I need to replace a Precedent steering wheel?
My 2010 Precedent has seen its last golf course, and I'm thinking about replacing the steering wheel. Are these all the parts I need? I am seeing some people complain that removing the stock wheel is a gigantic PITA. What say BGW?

Those will work, yes. There are better options for adapters out there that have more holes. I used this one:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As far as steering wheels, you don't seem like the guy to have carbon fiber racing wheel on his hunting cart. I went with black "leather" on the wife's cart and polished aluminum with wood on a build cart I'm selling. Looks gooood. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-3...72.m2749.l2649 The precedent wheel comes off easier than the DS wheel. There are two bolts in the back (either phillips or 5/16, but you'll need to reduce the diameter of the socket), then the front pops off. Here's a thread to help: https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=121180 |

Re: Is this what I need to replace a Precedent steering wheel?
I recently replaced the original Steering Wheel on the 2010 Precedent with these;
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 No problem removing the original steering wheel, only common hand tools needed, no thin sockets or anything. I loosened the fastener holding the wheel, then gave it a jerk, some wheels can be difficult, but thanks to a little PB Blaster, the old wheel came right off. The universal Adaptor fit properly, the chrome appears well applied, the 1OLOL Steering Wheel bolted right up to the Adaptor and even included the proper Allen Wrench required to tighten the Wheel. The Blue trim on the 1OLOL Steering Wheel is a direct match for the DoubleTake Phantom Body. We decided on the "flat bottom" Steering Wheel to allow for a little extra clearance for the Grandkids "Cart Cart" driving lessons Trouble shooting the (intermittent) Horn and replacing the Halogen Headlights w/ LEDs are next on the list. To access the Headlights, the stainless Brush Guard has to come off, so back to Ace Hardware for Stainless Hardware for both the Brush Guard & the Headlights. The list goes on... |
