Get a digital voltmeter and measure individual batteries after full charge and use a zip tie or alligator clip to clip on each one under load and report numbers you get. That may reveal/eliminate if you are having problems with any of your batteries. Also, after running cart for a while, feel all cables/connections and see if anything getting warm/hot.

I did that recently, but the thing is my cables and connections have typically always gotten warm, and most when i first got the cart running said as long as shes holding a good solid speed dont stress it. Im gonna try and fill my tires to max air like carter recommended on another post, b/c I do know 2 of my tires are very low on air, but on a cart unless you push the tire its hard to even notice that.

Well crazy enough my tires were pretty low so i filled them all to 32 psi right now and the cart hit 13-14 which honestly not bad, considering the batteries are a bit older now. I still have an issue though, or maybe its not and my car is just slow but it has like no torque to get up and going.

Nothing wrong with powertrons, that’s all I have used so far.

When mine was resistor any decent hill would drop speed to 8-9mph if anyone was riding with me so that’s normal. If your looking for speed and power get ready to open up the ol wallet!

Oh I know, but i was able to buy this cart and rebuild it from a wreck including batteries for 1600, so if i have to drop another 2k and feel like its a brand new cart, i mean im still doing very good.

Lemanz, did you ever do this? Although your pack may show full charge, you may have a failing battery....do this and post what readings are for each battery 12 hrs after charge AND under load

Ok so voltage off a charge was 37 to 38. I let it sit for a few hours and got about the same. Under load when i pushd the pedal it drops down and then at full speed holds at 34.5 to max 34.9 volts. I checked my speed with the maps gps on my phone and I used to be able to do 14 to 15, but now I can barely tap 13. I usually am running around 11 to 12 now. God forbid I put anyone on the car im at 10 11 with the wind lol.

This was a comment i made earlier in the thread under load.

Powertron are good batteries. I believe they are made by Trojan. But it’s worth testing, even expensive Trojans can be defective and go bad quickly.

And I’d really strongly recommend against running golf cart tires at 32pai. I’d go 20 MAX. You’re likely to hear a very loud bang, followed by a fist sized hole in the tire at 32psi

It does make a noticeable difference with these carts.
