Default G1E swap to G1 gas questions.

I’m looking to change a electric G1 to gas. Can I just change out the rear swing arm with rear end or is there more to it? I know I’ll have to mount a battery and gas tank. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Bryan

Essentially yes you'll need to change the swingarm and transaxle. However, I don't know if it will be a direct bolt in swap. I'm thinking the electric swingarm is different than the gas version and it might not mate up without modification. If you have a swingarm and transaxle from another cart, why not just use the gas cart frame etc?

Because I found a G1E limo cart that I want to change to gas. I’ve been told that the swing arm is shorter on the G1E vs the gas. Not sure how this will work out or if I cut the frame out and weld the gas frame section in.

i looked into this before my self as the electric carts seem to come up cheap and often. The its a different frame and swing arm. The swing arm is shorter.

If you can fabricate and weld etc then you shouldn't have much of an issue making it work. Having a parts cart is ideal when doing this kind of project.
Sounds like it's time to get the tape measure out?

The cart runs the guy said but says the motor turns forward and reverse but the cart don’t move. Figured for $1000 and a 7.5hr drive one way it would be worth it .
