Remove ignition & cup holder from 2021 EZGO Valor

I have a new 2021 EZGO Valor and I'm trying to remove the center storage compartment & cup holder to install a turn signal kit. The cart is 100% stock at this point. I've removed the 5 screws on the plate just above the cup holder. It's part of the ignition/key and center storage compartment. The problem is, in the back of the storage compartment, there are zip ties holding the wiring harness which stops it from coming out. I can see the 9 PIN harness that I need to connect the turn signal too but can't reach it since it's zip tied to the back of the storage compartment. Is it totally safe to cut the zip ties holding it together? I don't want to damage anything which is why I'm hesitant. I'm also hoping someone here has worked on this 2021 model. The manual says, 2020 Valor or newer so I have to assume that the body changed in 2020 +.
