Default More problems uncovered...

I'm guessing its the same problem for everybody, get a new cart (old cart, new to you) and then spend a couple weeks trying to figure out if you got what you paid for, or if you're still paying for what you got....

So I take the front end of my workhorse off so I can move the axle to below the springs and found this little jewel of a rust hole clean through the frame.

Exactly. I'm hoping I can get some rectangular steel and cut out that cancer section and replace it with a new piece, probably 3" long or so.

Take a 2X2 square tube, look at the radius's on each corner (they will be bit different) and try and match it up with the frame piece. (I'm real particular. It doesn't really matter that much.) Then split the 2X2 down the middle and WAALAA, new frame rail. I us a 6 inch cut off wheel. Its been done many times. Ive done it on 3 carts so far.

As much as I don't know about the welder, it just makes me want to know more.
