Default Lestronic II charger question.

okay, I found this brand new looking 48v charger on craigslist for the incredible price of $50. Now I'm beginning to wonder why it was so cheap. I put brand new batteries in my cart 2 days ago and charged it as normal. My son drove it around with his cousin yesterday, maybe at the most 5 miles. When he came back he said that the cart was going slow. Like it was lacking power. The day before that me and my sweetie drove around the block, maybe 3 miles, and she said that the cart seemed slow, which I thought so too. Okay, 1 more thing. When we went to Ocean Lakes last Oct. I put Chevy's charger (same exact charger) on my cart and the charge meter read very different from my chargers meter. What can happen internally on the charger to maybe make it not charge like it's suppose to? It seems to work fine, plug it in and it acts/sounds like it's charging. I believe it's charging? Okay, today, my cart was plugged in all night last night, charger evidently automatically shut off. Just took the cart out about 20 minutes ago and putted around the yard, 1/2 mile tops, and when I put the cart back in the barn and plugged it in, the meter slammed between 20 and 25 amps. Just went to look at it and it seems to be in the final stages of charging. This has got me worries as, like I said, I just put brand new batteries in 2 days ago and I sure don't want to ruin them. This has also got me wondering if this was the cause of my previous set of batteries crapping the bed. Any suggestions on what to look at or maybe a place that this charger can be sent to to check if it's operating properly would be much appreciated. Thanks, Boke

ps, sorry for being so long winded!

NO, I didn't look until now. Maybe you are just frustrating them? Do you have a voltmeter? A simple voltage check can tell what the charger is doing and what the pack is doing? You have been posting here for a long time. Try reading some of the technical stuff

your charger will go full charge any time it is hooked up. that is normal. After a few minutes it will decrease the amps needed to charge the batts.

get yourself a good volt meter and see what going on.

New batteries too. I have read here a lot that it takes time to "break in" batteries. That could be part of equation.
