Battery Cap Leaking
Hey All,
I have Trojan T-105's. 36v TXT. I have noticed after going on bumpy/hilly rides, that one of my batteries has water on top of it. It has done it every time, so it's not just a fluke or one-time thing. When I take the battery cap off, it looks good. The O rings are in good shape and it snaps down just like the others. The water level is good. It's not too full. So, what's causing this one battery to mess up? I assume it's the battery cap. Any ideas? Where do I get new one's? Does anyone make "high performance" one's? Thanks! |

Re: Battery Cap Leaking
Swap the battery caps from that battery to another. If the problem moves, you have your answer. If the problem stays, that battery is overfilled, cracked, or has some sort of internal failure.

Re: Battery Cap Leaking
I switched the battery cap to a different battery, and the problem then moved to the new battery. The issue is definitely with the battery cap. Any idea where to get a replacement or an after-market one?

Re: Battery Cap Leaking
Try your local "junk yard"! Some dealers keep old batts. around to resale for the cores. Check with them! Good Luck!!!
