Default 2008 CC Light kit wattage

I know I posted some questions about this subject and I've searched my threads and my posts and can't find it anywhere. I must be loosing it bad.

Anyway, I just checked the light kit and the bulbs are halogen 12volt at 37 watts, so this is about 3amps per bulb. Since there are two up front that will be a minimum of 6 amps just for the running light. The turn signals don't show any value but I would guestimate about 0.5 amp. The tail lights consist of an array of LED's which could work out to be about 0.5 amp for each. This totals out at about 7.0 amp for all running lamps and an extra 0.5 amp for turn signals. All of this is well within the 10 amp fuse that Club Car puts int the +12 volt line for front control panel and light. Since I don't plan to and a radio or anything else I think I will be fine with a 48 volt to 12 volt converter and hopefully this will stop the drain on #4 battery since I will be using all 4 for my 2008 CC.

Are you just saying that you will get the 10amp converter instead of the higher amp one? If so, you just may want to future proof it and get the bigger one because you never know.

erict,.... I don't need to Future proof it. Before I actully purchase the 48 volt converter I will measure the AMPs I draw. If it is within my calculations then that's it. I have no plans to upgrade or convert. This is my last Golf Cart,... this is my last home,... They will spread my ashes on the 18th fairway.
