95 Series issue
Hi,
I have a 95 series club car in a campgound, it has ran well all summer, batteries are in good shape and charged. All of the sudden it is not moving in reverse and moving slow in forward. Not sure what to think - computer or controller? Can anyone help me on how to test out? |

was running good, I charged the night before and ran it a bit in the morning - fine. Lent it to dughter-in-law to go to lake fishing and she returned to tell me it was dead. but batteries are all around 8.3

8.3V is nice assuming 8V nominal batteries but what is the voltage of each battery while attempting to move?
Resting voltage is completely useless to see if a battery has any capacity/ability to supply current under load. You could stack a bunch of little button type watch batteries for good voltage and hook them up to the cart but would it move? I don't think so. That's what happens to a big battery when they lose capacity. Read good voltage until you ask it to do work. Lets start at step 1 = Load testing batteries before skipping to computers and stuff : ) Hook meter to battery #1, step on pedal to take off,note lowest voltage. Repeat on rest of the batteries. You will instantly see if one or more of the batteries are dead. If they don't drop significant voltage under load (1V would be nice,any more not so much) then the problem is somewhere else. But why jump to conclusions by skipping step #1? Let us know! Barna |

I will have to check that and get back - but it had working just fine. That is why I ruled out battery problem. If you think I need to check that first I will do it.

Here is an example, someone provided these readings today on his 12V batteries:
