Re: Advanced techniques for removing driven clutch??
It must have been my welding. The insert torch cuts like regular steel. If you've never cut something like this off with a torch; practice on something that both parts are scrap. It's not rocket surgery, but you'll need to see the instant the outer piece burns through, especially on a splined shaft. I managed to singe the splines in a couple spots that will take some work with a triangle file.
Matching EZGO paperweight set. Limited edition original. Artist direct pricing $180. |

Re: Advanced techniques for removing driven clutch??
I'd bet anti seize will be applied to the splines and clutch this time.

Glad to see you got it off. Looks like it's been a hell of a month fighting this thing.

Re: Advanced techniques for removing driven clutch??
No kidding I agree with you on this one! I wonder if a guy could remove the bolt and spray the hell out of the spline from both sides with a good PB Blaster when he does maintenance on it every month or so to prevent this?

Re: Advanced techniques for removing driven clutch??
I have used a clutch puller that i used for my snowmobile, and that worked good along with the pickle fork.
